Ziyang “Zia”Liu advises clients on federal and international tax planning and transactional matters.
Zia helps clients analyze domestic and international tax planning and transactional matters involving corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships. She provides tax and structuring advice for institutional and global investors and fund sponsors. Additionally, Zia assists clients in navigating IRS procedures, tax compliance, documentation, and reporting issues.
Prior to law school, Zia worked in one of the China offices for a Big 4 accounting firm, where she gained experience advising companies on transfer pricing issues and cross-border transactions. As a law student, Zia represented clients of the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) in settling their tax debts with the IRS. She also participated in Eversheds Sutherland’s summer associate program.
