She specialises in competition law, EU law, and sector-specific regulation.
Réshmi has experience with all aspects of (European) competition law, including merger notifications, cartels, vertical (distribution) agreements, collaborations, information exchange and abuse cases. She also possesses specific expertise in consumer law protection, sports and competition law, AI and competition law, and the application of competition law to e-commerce. Réshmi assists companies in both European and national enforcement proceedings, national administrative proceedings, as well as civil proceedings.
Réshmi began her legal career as legal counsel at the Dutch competition authority for several years, where she was also seconded to the Competition Authority in Curaçao. Réshmi’s unique background as both a lawyer and regulator allows her to approach legal matters from multiple perspectives and provides valuable insights for her clients.
Admitted to the Dutch Bar since August 2019, Réshmi started her career at a competition law firm in Amsterdam. Before joining Eversheds, she worked at an international law firm in London and The Hague.
Réshmi holds a master’s degree in European Law and Dutch Criminal Law from Utrecht University. Her combined master’s thesis, which focused on balancing judicial cooperation and fundamental rights protection within the Area of Freedom, Security, and Justice, was awarded ‘top scriptie’ by the Nederlands Juristenblad.

- Réshmi has represented clients in various court cases. She successfully appealed a fine imposed by the ACM for an alleged consumer rule infringement at the District Court of Rotterdam. In another case, she handled an appeal for a preliminary witness examination in an alleged real estate cartel at the Amsterdam Court of Appeal. Additionally, she appealed the European Commission’s rejection of a State aid complaint at the European Court of Justice. She also represented a client in an appeal against an ACM decision on alleged consumer rule infringement at the highest administrative court (CBb).
