Ana helps business clients of various industries to structure, negotiate and implement complex commercial, M&A and real estate and construction transactions as well as corporate restructuring projects. She delivers integrated business solutions on various corporate governance, commercial, real estate, construction, public procurement, energy, finance and regulatory legal issues.
Having both legal and economic educational background, Ana proactively helps clients in planning, structuring, negotiating and implementing transactions. She develops relevant legal strategies for most effective protection of clients’ interests and achieving the best result.
Ana has successfully managed and completed numerous high‑value real estate, construction, and infrastructure development projects, as well as cross‑border corporate restructuring and joint venture projects, and large‑scale M&A transactions. She has also been involved in various projects carried out by international organisations and local government institutions, conducted extensive legal research and studies on regulatory matters related to state aid, corporate restructuring, construction, finance, international trade, and energy sector, proposed amendments to existing legislation, and participated in drafting new legislation.
Ana works for large global and local clients across diverse sectors with particularly strong experience in the real estate and infrastructure development sectors, technology and telecoms, trade, industrials, finance and energy sector. Her clients also include international organisations, local governmental and municipal institutions.
Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Ana worked as a Chief Legal Officer of a group of companies acting in real estate development and construction sectors and as Chief Lawyer of an international group of companies acting in distribution, trading and logistics sectors. Ana also provided legal services at Vilnius University Law Clinic.

Ana’s recent client experience includes:
- Assisting a state-owned Lithuanian energy company in launching and development of strategic multi-jurisdictional energy infrastructure construction project of a value of over EUR 680 mln. Ana‘s assistance included review and development of full scope public procurement documentation, including construction agreements of energy facilities, also extensive legal advice on various legal issues related to implementation of the project;
- Advising international group of companies acting in IT sector on provision of security measures in securing repayment of the loan of over EUR 330 mln., drafting and negotiating related security documents and representing the client;
- Acting for an international IT group of companies in relation to acquisition of one of the major web hosting group in Lithuania with a value of the transaction of about EUR 60 mln.;
- Managing Lithuanian part of cross-Baltic acquisition of group of companies engaged in IT sector with a value of the transaction over EUR 30 mln.;
- Providing overall legal assistance to an Estonian capital investment group in all detailed phases of implementation of the joint venture of a group of companies engaged in media business in Lithuania, including planning and structuring of transaction and preparing all related documentation until closing of the deal;
- Acting for the buyer side in the cross-border acquisition of group of companies engaged in pharmacy sector, managing legal due diligence and providing related legal advice;
- Advising on implementation of strategic multi-jurisdictional project in transport infrastructure sector, including review and development of the design contract (based on FIDIC), advising on regulatory requirements for infrastructure design and construction process in Lithuania;
- Providing overall legal assistance to a longstanding client - foreign capital energy company operating a combined heat and power in Lithuania, advising on commercial transactions, regulatory environment, relationships with state and municipal institutions and private partners;
- Assisting global US based water and port infrastructure company in participation of a public tender in relation to design and construction and development of port infrastructure in Lithuania, including assistance with establishment and operation of local subsidiary, advising on public procurement, construction and related legal matters;
- Providing extensive legal advice to a global furniture manufacturer on launch and development of manufacturing facilities construction project, advising on construction and lease, state aid, project financing and investment matters, preparing related documentation;
- Advising the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on developing the state support instrument for promotion of SMEs equity/ bond listing at stock exchange, performing legal research on the Lithuanian regulatory environment for provision of EU and national budget support to SMEs, suggesting relevant amendments to local legislation, assisting the Ministry of Economy in drafting related legal acts on implementation of the state support instrument;
- Assisting the European Central Bank (ECB) in identifying and assessing Lithuanian draft legal acts for the duty of the Lithuanian authorities to consult ECB, participating in drafting the ECB official opinion towards Lithuania, preparing other related documents.
