Pranav is Of Counsel in our Projects & Construction department who primarily advises on a range of infrastructure and energy projects through various stages of their life.
Pranav has extensive experience advising clients in the fields of Renewable and Clean Energy Development, Green Hydrogen, PPP Infrastructure Projects, Infrastructure Corporate Advisory and M&A, and Project Development and Financing.
Pranav regularly advises developers and contractors, global investment funds, asset management funds, private equity investors and banking and financial institutions in their mergers & acquisition aspirations in the private and PPP infrastructure space and the renewable and green energy sector. Pranav also specialises in project development, including EPC, O&M and project development contracts with extensive experience on FIDIC based contracts.
Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Pranav has gained over 9 years experience in India working in the infrastructure and energy sectors, including working in one of India’s leading full service law firms, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas.

Pranav has advised on a very diverse range of transactions within the infrastructure and energy sectors. Some of his notable experience includes:
- India Business Law Journal Deal of the Year, 2023: A German shipping leader’s major strategic acquisition of stake in, and consequent reorganisation of, India’s major port and logistic group. Deal involved the client’s strategic and substantial investment in container terminals, bulk terminals and container freight station terminal ports across the coastline.
- First large scale Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia Production Offshore Investment in India: Advised Malaysian Government Oil company on their proposed investment to drive large-scale green hydrogen-green ammonia in India using round-the clock renewable energy (RE-RTC) including a pumped storage energy facilities, with the JV set up in Netherlands.
- Advised and represented the successful bidder (comprising a consortium of India’s leading groups and Germany’s leading group), including drafting, negotiating and executing project agreements based on the FIDIC Yellow and FIDIC Silver Books 1999 Edition (EPC, O&M and consultancy agreements), for the development and operation of an elevated metro rail corridor in Pune awarded by the State Government, with a project value of ¬US$ 1.2 Billion.
- Advised a bidder in India’s first ever Offshore wind energy project tender issued by Solar and Energy Corporation of India, in the coast of Tamil Nadu.
- Was part of India Business Law Journal Deal of the Year, 2023:
Hapag-Lloyd’s acquisition of strategic and gradual stake in, and consequent reorganisation of, J.M. Baxi Ports & Logistics, India’s oldest ports and logistics group.
Role: Co-lead advisor for the India leg of the transaction.
