Baird Capital turns to trusted adviser Eversheds Sutherland on its latest strategic investmentFebruary 12, 2026 Eversheds Sutherland has advised Baird Capital on its strategic investment in Rapid Energy, a specialist provider of emergency and planned temperature-control hire solutions. Baird Capital makes venture capital, growth equity and private equity investments in strategically targeted sectors around the world. Its investment will support the company’s plan to expand capacity, accelerate technology and innovation, and advance its solutions for customers operating in critical environments. It also reflects Baird Capital’s longstanding commitment to partnering with companies that align with its Industrial Technology & Sustainability thesis. The Eversheds Sutherland team was led by M&A Corporate Partners Catherine Eley and James Finney with support from Amy Bagni, Lara Satchwell and Joshua McFall (Corporate), Ben Hudson (Real Estate), Amanda Smith and Niall Doherty (Employment), Claire Gregory (EHS) and Colin Askew (Tax). Its role included advising Baird and the Newco acquirer on all legal aspects of their acquisition of and investment into Rapid Energy while project managing the deal for all parties to bring it to a successful completion. The global law firm has been advising Baird Capital for more than 20 years. The team has acted on a number of its key transactions including its investment into EvoluteIQ and also on the sales of STR and eCube.
