Eversheds Sutherland bolsters international privacy and cyber security offering with lateral partner hireDecember 03, 2024 Eversheds Sutherland has strengthened its privacy and cyber security experience across the Benelux region with the appointment of its latest lateral partner hire, Maarten Stassen. Maarten joins the firm’s TMT team in Brussels from Crowell & Moring bringing extensive knowledge working both in-house and as external counsel to private and public sector clients across the globe. During his two decades as a lawyer Maarten has regularly advised high-profile clients on their approach to data protection, GDPR, UK GDPR and cybersecurity. He has also advised on the legal and operational aspects of digital ecosystems such as the Internet of Things and Blockchain technology. Maarten is ranked as a “Next Generation Partner” in “EU Regulatory: Privacy and data protection” in legal industry directory, Legal 500.
