Eversheds Sutherland Partner Ben Marzouk is quoted in this Law360 article discussing regulating crypto.  

Ben said regulators will have to work with the industry if they want crypto companies to register and disclose their risks to buyers.

He added that anti-money laundering regulations have also been a point of contention between the crypto industry and regulators, with the industry lobbying for specific rules rather than being shoehorned into existing regulations under the Bank Secrecy Act.
