We acted as the sellers’ legal advisor as they sold all shares of Fixcel Group Oy, a company specialising in modular steel cell building, to Parmaco Group Oy, owned by equity investor Partners Group. The acquisition provides Parmaco the opportunity to further increase its market leading presence in the Nordic public building market and facilitates its entry into the social welfare and healthcare sector.
Our team responsible for the assignment included Partners Harri Tolppanen, Henri Steiner and Olli Hyvönen, as well as Senior Associate Linda Miettinen and Associate Alexiina Ahonkivi.
Fixcel employs some 50 persons at its house-construction plant in Hämeelinna and head office in Helsinki. During its history, Fixcel has built over 30 000 square metres of public premises, including Finland’s largest modular building, the 8 500 square metre Maatulli school in Helsinki, as well as the Seinäjoki pediatric hospital. Fixcel’s buildings are exceptionally long-lasting and energy efficient, and thus ecologically responsible in terms of their lifespan. Fixcel’s buildings are recyclable and its carbon footprint will be reduced to a minimum once carbon-free steel is launched on the market, which is expected to take place in 2026.
