Alexandre Morel is a partner in the Corporate / M&A practice of Eversheds Sutherland in Paris.
Alexandre advises companies on mergers and acquisitions, notably in the context of cross-border and complex transactions. He also advises on internal restructurings and corporate law.
His has experience in the energy, financial services, hospitality and life sciences sectors for a wide range of clients including large French and international industrial groups and family-owned companies. Alexandre is also a member of our Global Energy Group, a team of over 400 lawyers who are committed to assisting our clients navigate the energy transition and achieve their net zero goals.
He began his career as an associate in the mergers & acquisitions department of Linklaters LLP before joining CMS Francis Lefebvre Avocats in 2011 and becoming a partner in January 2020.
Energy
- Advising an international listed group (FTSE 100) on a series of acquisitions of companies specializing in renewable energy and energy transition solutions, as part of the group’s decarbonization strategy
- Advising a French public financial institution on a partnership agreement with a private company to support the development of photovoltaic power plants in France
- Advising a group specialized in the production, distribution, and marketing of petroleum products on the acquisition of solar project companies in Morocco and Senegal, as well as on a joint venture in Mali
- Advising Nordex Group on the sale to RWE of its European onshore wind and solar project development platform in France, Poland, Spain, and Sweden, for a total of 2.7 GW
- Advising a German industrial group on the sale of its activities in the nuclear and industrial maintenance sector
Financial services
- Regularly advising a European broker specialized in loan insurance, individual health and personal insurance on several acquisitions, including : a Fintech/Insurtech proposing digital solutions for the online distribution of financial, insurance, and savings products; several brokerage firms recognized for their expertise in social protection consulting and management of group insurance contracts; and a wealth management consulting firm
- Advising an international human resources consulting firm specializing in strategy, health, employee benefits, retirement, and talent management in connection with several acquisitions, including a fintech offering digital HR management solutions, and multiple brokerage firms
Hospitality
- Advising the European leader in private equity dedicated to the hospitality sector on the acquisition of several hotels across Europe (France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, and Italy)
- Advising a French hotel group on the acquisition of several hotels in Paris and other regions of France
- Advising a family investment fund on the acquisition of a flagship hotel in Paris
Health Sciences
- Advising Advanced Medical Solutions (AMS), a UK-based group listed on the London Stock Exchange and a world-leading specialist in tissue-healing technologies, on the proposed acquisition of Peters Surgical, a leading global provider of specialty medical devices, from Eurazeo
- Alexandre Morel holds a postgraduate degree in business and contract law from the University of Lille II and also graduated from from the Audencia business school (Nantes)
